Okay guys I am new to Cosplaying!?! Not really, but I NEVER liked posting photos of myself!!!BUT I've lost 35lbs, stopped eating junk food and now work out regularly!!
SO NOW WITH CONFIDENCE I'M PUTTING PHOTOS OF MY HOBBY ONLINE! It's a fun hobby, I deserve to sew things for myself once and awhile as I'm making things for all of you guys all the time
HATERZ GUNNA HATE I will block rudeness
Anyway, I need help learning what poses work and why. What works for Jessica Rabbit? What should I do for my next cosplay photo shoot? What props to use?! What poses that are different from these should I try? What camera angles? You all have more experience then me!
- Pick your favorite Pose
- Pick the pose you think will sell the best
- What pose should I do for my next photoshoot?
Pick a Jessica Rabbit Pose
I would appreciate feedback! LOVE YOU ALL!
I will talk more about the costume when I submit it as prints but for now: I made everything, every little pattern detail. 100% legit strapless! Did my own makeup, I went for a the statuette and promo material version so the look isn't so harsh.. The wig I modified with streaks and wefts. I used glitter nail polish and hand glued sequins on the shoes. The earrings are made of buttons I found. Green contacts (I did not make lol). I worked really hard on this, it looks simple but I made a huge effort to make it as good as I possibly could do for the character.
I've only worn this to 1 convention, there seem to be only 2 existing videos if you want a glimpse of the sparkles and me being a goober. [link] [link]
I picked Jessica Rabbit because I was going for someone my body type
After looking at some pics for comparison, you definitely nailed it with 6. 7 is close to one of her poses, I'd just say don't lean back on your hands. Keep the back straighter. 2 and 3 work well also, and 1 just needs a hand position change. Hope that helps. She is one of my favorite cartoon characters, and it's good to see someone take her seriously.
(Also, from one gal to another, your boobs look fantastic in that dress!)
Great work and continued success..
Saw you at Fan Expo in Regina. Hope you enjoyed the show and had a successful weekend.
Oh my this is gorgeous! YOU are gorgeous! And talented. SO sexy. I gotta start going to cosplay events!
My favorite poses are 1, 3, 6, 9 and 11.
I like the top left and right pics the most.
These points are me being really picky, and just trying to help you get the shots up to a really high standard (please don't take them as critism as these are really great shots).
For all the colouring (lovely skin tones, red hair and sparkling red dress) I think a darker (black) background would work better. Also some props would make the whole scene complete (a grand piano springs to mind).
Worth trying some really big false eye lashes if its a full body scene (but not if its half length or head shot - they'd be too obvious). There's a tiny detail of the slightly ruffled fabric around your midriff, I know how difficult it is to get fabric to sit perfectly but worth trying to flatten it as much as is possible.
Finally just a couple of tiny thoughts on the posing and bringing the character to life, the classic image I have of Jessica Rabbit is one full of over done pouting, half closed eyelids and a raised eyebrow, trying to capture that is near impossible but worth really hamming it up if you can. Great work, please post more!
Hope that critique is somehow useful. Keep up the great work.
