Personal Thoughts
Spirit Day struck me as an amazing idea. I'm a anti-LGBT bullying survivor. I know what it's like to barley survive the verbal, emotional and physical abuse for beeing different (eg. one time in grade nine a group of kids pinned me in an alley behind the school and threw rocks at me and tried to pummel me to death... AND I had to homeschool for the rest of the year as a result). I know other people have gone through the same horrible youth of unfair-amounts of school transfers, guilt and terrible loneliness.
There is a bright side. You will grow into your independance, and there is love for you in this world. You just need to tough it out sometimes.
AND you may be happy and proud enough one day to make rainbow unicorns for all!
