This was my costume for The Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo 2011. A Tyranid Hormagaunt from Warhammer 40000. Yes I play nids.

This was a great idea by my friend

We were going to go together as tyranids but there was not enough time for both of our costumes.

It has an articulated (working) jaw and upright tail, extra arms etc. Really the photos speak for themselves.

Got an interview with "space" channel and shaw TV!
_{I did not go through with entering the contst as the staff were telling me to, because.. it wasnt cool doing it alone when it was a friend thing.} But I did win a "Hall Masquerade" blue ribbon award anyways.

This was alot of work and effort. Was the best I could do in 5 days that I had set aside before CCEE.
_{However I know whats wrong with it and shall put more time into this. The bodysuit is going to be redone as it weighs 40lbs, the legs are missing a joint and people thrashed the tail at the con.}
